Legend of the Paint Branch Trail

Increasing the number of paper colors from 2 to 5 and tripling the size of my canvas, I test my adaptability. Collage becomes more prominent as I use bits of paper for more than a single focal point. The sheer size against the time I gave myself to do this (two weeks worth of spare time) forces me to let go of hard details.

The intent with this landscape was to create three connecting locations, each different, yet connected. The idea was inspired by the physical Paint Branch Trail, located in College Park MD. There, your surroundings switch every few hundred feet, giving the impression of different ‘areas’.
